I have a question. I also have an 06 Sabercat. Like you, I find the handle bars to be low. I would like to raise them. Ideally I would like to be able to ride in a standing position if possible. Has your modification allowed for you to do this? Is this even realistic with this sled?

My 2004 Sabercat 700 is the best riding sled for a gal with weak upper body strength and wrists. The sled is supper fast and rides comfortably in speeds of 80-100 mph and faster if you wish. By the way I am 50 years young, and still love riding my sled and plan on riding until my body says it is enough. It is about time I had a seld that kept up with the guys, instead of eating their snow dust. The track is a little narrow and at times feels a little tippy, but I have never tipped it over or fell off the sled. All our family has always rode Artic Cats, and have bought several new sleds over the past 20 years. I am sad to say, my husband does not like the laydown engine, he says it is difficult to get to parts and places where he wants to work on, and is threating to sell the seld because of it. I am afraid I will not be able to replace the amenities, comfort, speed or the light weight handling with another sled, I have tried many over the years and this is my #1 pick. It has a characteristic of its own, it looks like a cats face in the front and is such a beautiful green, black and silver color/design. We have never had to work on anything, just one recall with the gas tank, and now we have heard about the anitfreeze hose line being to close to the motor and it could get a hole burned in it. Once the husband staret to locate the problem, that is where he discoverd he was not happy with the layout/design under the hood, not the best design to work on. I would recommend this model to anyone, especially if you have weak upper body strength. I get so excited when I can ride the sled, it makes my day, not matter how bad it was before. It makes you want to shout out loud, AWESOME!!! I LOVE IT, and do everytime I get on the sled and hit the throttle. BABBS
