E-TEC Sensor Adapter
If you have installed an aftermarket muffler on your E-TEC sled, pay attention. The E-TEC programming is VERY sensitive to the pipe heat and the temperature being sensed by the thermal probe that is fitted into the muffler. Often times riders will notice how their sled, once they have installed an aftermarket muffler, will bog out on long wide open throttle pulls.
Not to worry, Bikeman Performance has a slick little sensor adapter that you screw into the muffler, and then you screw the sensor into this adapter. The aluminum adapter has cooling fins on it to act as a heat sink to dissipate some of the heat, and it also pulls the sensor out of the muffler slightly, helping your sled to hold maximum RPM. Simple and easy, sells for $39.95 from Bikeman Performance (www.bikemanperformance.com).
