HOLZ RACING SLEDS POUND BEAR LAKE HILLCLIMB
Erin Beukelman and Vinnie Clark brought their Holz Racing-equipped sleds to Bear Lake Hill prepared to race! The hillclimb was held at the Price Ranch near Geneva, Idaho on February 4-5. Beukelman was crowned MODIFIED KING after taking first in the ultra-competitive Pro 700 Modified Class on his Holz Racing-built, Carl’s Cycles-prepared Polaris snowmobile. Erin credits the HRP Alpha-X suspension under his sled. “Riding the Alpha-X certainly gave me the edge over racers who didn’t. The Alpha-X suspension gave me amazing traction on the climb.” Erin also won IMPROVED KING after taking 1st in the Pro 800 Improved Class and 2nd in both Pro 700 Improved and Pro 1000 Improved, all on Holz Racing-built, Carl’s Cycles-prepared machines.
Vinnie Clark placed 3rd in the Pro 1000 Stock Class on his Holz-sponsored Ski-Doo 800 E-Tec. Vinnie also finished 5th in Pro Open Modified Class on his Holz-equipped Ski-Doo E-Tec Turbo.
The Hillclimb in Preston, Idaho was rained out this year, so Bear Lake was the first RMSHA event of 2011. Erin and Vinnie will compete next at the Afton Hillclimb February 25-27 at Afton, Wyoming.
