Weight that would be carried in a backpack can be centered and tucked out of the way & under the seat, with nothing to get caught on tree branches or collect extra snow. Two outside “wings” hold 2 water bottles per side and the center compartment has a pouch on the top of the bag for items you don’t need all the time (like a FLOAT air pump).
