Yamaha Deep-Keel Tuner Skis for SR Vipers
Last season with the new 2014 SR Viper models, one of the things we really missed was Yamaha’s dual-keel dual-runner Tuner skis. Not to worry, as for 2015 Yamaha has introduced a new version of their popular Tuner skis specifically designed for the new SR Viper models.
While these new Deep-Keel Tuner skis are standard issue on all of the 2015 Yamaha SR Viper models (except the MTX mountain sleds) owners of 2014 SR Vipers will want to get a set of them to upgrade their sled as well.
Yamaha knew we were wanting Tuner skis for the new Viper models, so they were working on getting them right last winter. They feature a 5mm deeper keel with a steeper keel angle. The mounting bolt hole has been elevated by 135mm on the ski deck. End result is a more aggressive bite and improved deep snow performance. Yamaha tells us this new version is a “Viper-only specification”, but we would wager that there might be a number of Arctic Cat owners bolting a set of these on their sled to see how they work.
