2020 Ski-Doo Expedition LE
The Fearless Way to Ride Through Winter
Few have the drive to take on winter at its harshest. Even fewer have the ambition to make the nastiest winter conditions their place of work or even their homestead. For those few who take on everything winter has to offer – or forces feeds them – they’re the hearty souls who thrive in the worst of cold winter nights. But they don’t just live this lifestyle by choice, they live it because they love it.
These are the riders who demand capability one minute, and leisurely 5-star comfort the next. They love pinpoint performance as much as they need raw power and torque. They require traction, flotation, power for pulling, the ability to carve corners and soak up rough terrain all in a single ride. And they rarely do anything without tools, ice shanties or companion in tow – sometimes even all three.
For Model Year 2020 Ski-Doo delivers on the needs of these riders with their new Expedition models, built around their needs for personalizing to work or play on an all-new REV Gen4 20-inch platform. This latest innovation from Ski-Doo smashes the mold for the sport-utility segment in nearly every way possible. From offering the most advanced Rotax 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, to a more agile response, to easy shift transmission, to quick reverse function, to easy customization, no detail was left untouched. The result is a sled that can change quickly as needed and delivers uncompromising capability, undeniable performance, and a rider experience that is unmatched in the sport-utility segment.
Freshly updated into the advanced REV Gen 4 platform, the Expedition LE offers riders more advantages than ever before. The product teams at Ski-Doo spent many months riding with and surveying users all over the world to find what they wanted in a utility sled – the answers were “everything” – but especially the ability to adapt it to their use, their needs, quickly and easily. The Multi-LinQ plate and standard rear cargo rack on the LE make it possible to deliver on their demands along with an ever-larger selection of accessories developed just for the Expedition line.
But the Expedition series also deliver everywhere else too. Starting with the front suspension, the RAS 3 improves handling by offering a rider ultimate control in deep snow, as well as incredibly precise handling on the trail – in both smooth and unpredictable terrain.
The intentional styling of the REV Gen4 side panel design keeps both driver and passenger protected from the elements on every ride. The standard tall windshield provides even further protection when Mother Nature dishes out her worst. Adding to the luxury feel of the LE, the open cockpit design of the REV Gen4 chassis maximizes room for the driver to ride as aggressively or relaxed as they want.
A new 20 x 154 x 1.5 Silent Cobra WT track adds to the experience with its quiet ride and is spun around the familiar SC-5U rear suspension. The large footprint inspires confidence with its easy flotation off trail while providing plenty of traction on the beaten path.
Powered by BRP’s strong, reliable lineup of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, Expedition LE buyers have a variety of performance and efficiency to choose from. Engine options include the 125 HP Rotax 600R E-TEC 2-stroke ($13,149), naturally aspirated 95 HP ACE 900 4-stroke ($12,699) or 150 HP 900 ACE Turbo 4-stroke ($15,149). Each leads their respective class in fuel efficiency and sets the standard for dependability giving riders assurance their sled will be there whenever they need.
Finishing off the machine is attention to detail with such comforts as a 2-up removable seat with ergonomically improved passenger backrest, large opening running boards for better snow evacuation and a new 4.5-inch digital display with an easy-to-read flat viewing angle to gather important info in any lighting condition or riding position.
When your snowmobile must perform in work or play, regardless of the conditions, the Expedition LE is a smart choice. Sport-utility by design, the Expedition LE has the goods to be as sporty or as hard working as you are.
