First developed for the Arctic Cat Sno Pro 440 race sled, the Slide Action Rear Suspension delivers improved ride performance in conjunction with suspension arm coupling. It uses a U-shaped front arm slot that fits over a shaft bolted across the tunnel, rather than fixing the front arm upper cross shaft directly to the tunnel. The slot allows for a half-inch of sliding movement of the upper front arm mount. This half-inch of movement allows the front arm to continue to provide full travel, even during acceleration, improving ride comfort and control when hitting bumps while on the gas. Better still, it helps keep the skis on the ground during acceleration, all but eliminating ski lift when accelerating through corners. This feature is standard on all 2007 Arctic Cat F Series models and the Jaguar Z1.
