When riding a snowmobile in a road ditch in the State of Minnesota, the legal speed limit is the road’s posted speed limit, or 50 MPH; whichever is LOWER. A person who is convicted of two or more speeding violations in one season must successfully complete a snowmobile safety training course before again operating a snowmobile.
