Riders from across the snow belt have commented on how impressed they are with the new Rip Saw track from Camoplast! Only available last year on Yamaha models, the Rip Saw pattern was offered as an aftermarket accessory. Tracks USA, one of the largest (if not the largest) dealers of Camoplast tracks in the world, tells SnowTech the feedback they received matched our analysis of the Rip Saw being the most well received track in history.

Riders commented on the traction in a wide range of conditions, from ice to deeper snow, with performance that was better than expected from a 1.25” lug height. No wonder this track will be found on some of the 2005 models from Polaris and Arctic Cat!

All 2005 model year Fusion 900 snowmobiles will be delivered with a 1.25” deep lug Rip Saw track. This track change will not affect the suggested retail pricing of the Fusion. According to Polaris, “The Rip Saw track greatly enhances acceleration and accentuates the low-end torque delivered by the new Liberty™ 900 engine. After exhaustive testing, the Rip Saw track delivered much improved bite without sacrificing top-end speed. As a result of the track change, a rear cooler protector kit (part# 2874687) is required if traction products are to be installed.”
